Namaste

We give our best in writing, or re-writing, original stories and compiling stories from various sources.

Arriving here assured that you have started your journey. Meditation practitioners can watch the mind while reading the story, deny the urge to read more than one story at a time, until the story reveals enlightenments.

Meditation Through Stories

The wise knows that stories are the best medium for passing messages.

We all have been listening to stories since we were small. Stories that send us to sleep, stories that make us smile, stories that make us sad and cry, stories that make us dream…

Whether we realize it or not, messages in stories seep in the deepest place in our memory, become the truth until proven wrong. Good stories will give great impacts in many aspects of our lives.

A Man and his Dog

photo dog_zpsbe05af37.gifA dog owner heard about a food supplement that ensure good health effects for dogs.  He asked around to find out that there are no negative feedback about that food supplement.

He bought the supplement for his dog and, as any good pet owners, read the all instructions that he can find about the supplement.

The next morning, after his dog finished its breakfast, he was already holding a table spoon of the paste like supplement that smells like nothing he, himself, would take in this life. He called his dog and carefully placed its head in between his legs and start shoving the ill smelling paste to the dogs mouth. After some struggles the dog eventually gave in and took the supplement.

Until one morning when the dog broke loose from the feet clench and the spoon fell on the floor from the man's hand. To the owner's surprise, the dog went for the spoon and licked all the supplement on the spoon and those scattered on the floor.

And the man realized that the dog had never rejected the supplement. The dog merely hated how the supplement had always been delivered.

Note

After reading 'The Man and his Dog' the first time, we (taking the role of the dog) reflect that we (and also people) have a tendency to be accept something  by the way it was delivered. Taking the role of the man, we then realize that even if we know we have a beneficial thing to give others, the success of giving depends largely on how it was presented.

The second time the story crossed our mind, we realized that a thing (the supplement that ensure good health effects) is only something before people give it value (the dog owner values the health of his dog. The stories in this blog are merely stories if you read them as stories. They can be some jokes if they amuse you in a way, etc.
