Educations - Be Just What You Are

The King was present when the "Messiah", composed by Handel, was performed for the first time in London. He felt a great religious feeling when the choir sang the part of "Alleluia" that he rose, out of the tradition, in awe of the great masterpiece performed before him.

Seeing this, the lords rose from their seats following the King. This was a sign for all audiences to stand on their feet.

Since then, it has been a necessity to rise everytime Alleluia is sung. Neglecting the state of being of those who are listening or the quality of performance.
